Mechanarchy OCH&S Policy
If you take part in the Mechanarchy Free Bicycle Program, by helping to work on the bike you get to take home, there are some simple rules that need to be followed to ensure your safety:

1) That you do not work on anything without supervision.

2) That you do not use tools, including hand or power tools, that you are not familiar with.

3) If you use tools, they must be wiped down after use and put back where they belong.

4) That you take care at all times to ensure the safety of those around you.

5) That you do not smoke in the Workshop.

6) That you respect the right of the Workshop Manager to assess what you may or may not be able to do.

7) That you wear appropriate Safety Gear at all times, which, will be provided for you.

8) That you take Personal Responsibilty for your actions.

9) The the Workshop Manager retains the right to refuse entry.

The Mechanarchy OCH&S Policy can best be summed up in the following Words:

I am not a nanny or a bottom wiper and it is standing on two feet of one's own I ask for, help coming in pointers, knowledge being in each other.

I am something of a Doctor, the World is my Surgery and I am willing to help but only if the right Chemicals are present and correct. Check out my Pharamacy, come browse my Library, think in my Laundrette, roam free in my Wardrobe and come frolic in the Fireplace - but don't piss in my Swimming Pool and then tell me that you've swallowed some Water!
